Week 21: May 30

What's up guys? 

How is the trip going? Sounds like your having fun ! I wish I was with you guys haha. 

Happy Memorial Day! My birthday was pretty good, we ate at our favorite members house and she made me an apple pie it was a chocolate apple pie it was so good! We hung out with them for that night haha, the day was pretty good though, But yeah I hope you are having fun! We don't have access to computers cause a missionary lost the keys to the family history center which sucks, so I won't be able to see your adventure page thing :( So where exactly are you guys going again? The route your taking ? 

Kyzer is super cute! It's weird being an uncle haha. 

I am getting used to the ward. They're cool. I am trying to get used to my companion, he talks and talks and talks about the  past random stuff so that by its self is so tiring. My comp all he talks about is going home and it's annoying so that sucks. Idk just trying to keep my head up and think positive. We played basketball and soccer with the elders quorum Thursday night was pretty fun they like to play ruff and I like playing ruff so it was awesome. 

This week was okay we visited a lot of less actives cause our only investigators can't meet with us. We set up a family history stand this week at the main park and dos some contacting it was really cool not much people came and visited though what a surprise ! One of our less actives is running for district 4 supervisor for Lakeport so she is really popular haha. It's cool though, there names are the Scott's. We visited the labroshes to there cool and s couple other people. The area is hard haha, people don't like us but that is normal. We went out and tried to find people and tracked some roads everyone seemed to be gone this week maybe cause of memorial weekend. I have some cool pictures that we took though. We can barely find people to do service for. :( 

we had personal meetings with president wright this week that was good. I asked some questions on the resurrection and the millennium. But yeah it was good. We had district meeting too we missed have of it cause of some confusion, we thought it was in Clearlake 30 minutes away but it was actually at our church 1 minute away so that sucked but it was good the other half of it. 

Last night we ate dinner with the van meters he is a war veteran and served in the army for 25 years he late me shoot his bow I still got some skill! They are really cool she is bipolar so it's exciting sometimes haha. But yeah that was my week. I love you

Week 20: May 23

Hello family!! What's up how is life back home in the Saratoga springs? It's really good here in Lakeport ! Lakeport is definitely interesting it's really pretty here haha. The ward here is pretty awesome of course there are a lot of interesting people here and cool people haha. This week was transfers of course haha. I moved my stuff up here the apartment is super cool there are tons of weights which means gains for days!! ;) my new comp elder sutterfield is super cool I am just getting used to his 24/7 talking. He is a little crazy haha. But good. My companion is from Utah!!! Surprise ! ;) he is from Spanish fork. He is a spaz haha. He loves to help other missionaries out, he is nice the best thing about him is that he knows how to comfort people.

Since I have been here I met a lot of the ward members here. Our gospel principles class here is super good the teacher makes the class feel alive and he loves participation. Since I have been here we have been visiting some really cool less actives , they shouldn't be less active but they are which is sad. Cause they are so cool. But I guess that's why we are here haha. We have tried our investigators  I don't remember there names but everything we go to there house every time they don't seem to answer which is normal.. But the area is kinda hard. We have been tracking and contacting a lot. The people are super nice up here a lot nicer than Ukiah. There was this one guy who yelled at us though it was kind of funny. He cussed us out haha, Didn't like us very much but that is pretty much normal, 

We had district meeting on Tuesday my district is super big haha, we have 2 new greenies haha.

A cute sister and a pretty cool elder, district meeting was super cool it was Spanish Browns birthday and we all bought him a cake. He loved it haha. Just trying everyday to stay positive I have been going up and down. I just take a look at the world and try to find something that is good other than nature and the beauty of it. But it is pretty sad what people think today, just trying to keep my head up and not doubt it's super hard sometimes but I am out here for a reason of course haha. 

We have this awesome Hispanic members, there already are best friends haha there is Dennis and vessa and Antonio. Dennis just got baptized like 2 weeks ago, that family is super super cool haha, we go over a lot to teach them the new member lessons. 

I passed the sacrament yesterday it was awesome! Our ward is small haha petty much the same size as Ukiah first ward but the chapel is smaller. The ward here is about 115 people I don't know how many less actives I think about the same as Ukiah probably like 200. A lot hah. I am excited to serve here though. I am going to be 19 ! Pretty weird. Are lessons are really going too, I have finally memorized the first 2 lessons it took forever but now I feel more confident in what I am doing, I have been studying Jesus the Christ and the first 2 chapters and also 3 Nephi when Jesus came down and taught the people, I think that is the climax of the Scriptures. 3 nephi is the bomb! It's weird haha I am getting a new perspective on life. It's weird everyone says I am different put here but I don't feel different.

My allergies are pit of control, like they are so bad. I have not been able to breath out of my nose for a month, last night I had like a Lung attack and I couldn't breath so that was freaky. I have tried all the cheap over the counter allergy medicine except for Zyrtec cause it's too expensive, but I will live! They say Lakeport and L.A had the worst allergies in the United States. 

I have some pictures to send I will send them after this. So the people in my district is.. Elder brown, elder pederson, elder smith, elder lumyonion, elder Taylor elder Martinez, sister smith and sister Jeffery. I have served around all of them my whole mission except the greenies sister smith and elder pederson. 

I just want to tell you how much I love this gospel and I grateful I am for being out here and I am grateful for Jesus Christ and his sacrifice and I know with all my heart that Joseph smith was the prophet that restored Jesus Christ church back on this earth with all the keys. I know Heavenly Father is our father he is here and he is listening. I know of we do our best to be like his son we will be blessed no matter what our situation is. I love you guys with all my heart. Tell Avery I will go on a trip with her when I get home :) and all of the kids haha. Love you!!

Week 19: May 16

Hello! Happy Monday indeed !

My week was good ! It was a long week haha end of transfers and super tiring, it seems all the missionaries are tired all week and excited for transfers haha. Guess what I am getting transferred to Lakeport!! I have been there many times haha. You can look it up on the map of you want haha.

My new companion will be Elder Sutterfield. He is finishing next month, I don't like killing missionaries there trunky. But Heavenly Father has put me with him for a reason so I will find out :) I am excited to go haha. I will send you my new address as soon as I get there haha.

I said goodbye to a lot of people today surprisingly a lot of people were sad. Which is weird haha. But they made me bare my testimony and say goodbye it was good. I will miss Ukiah but ready for new experiences with other places and ready to move on.

We didn't make it to the beach last Monday people wanted to stay and play sports I guess. :( but today we are going to Montgomery woods should get some cool pictures hopefully. Then we might play ball after. So it will just be me and my comp a lone in an apartment so yay!

This week was good we were all just waiting for transfers to come taught Shawna again and it was an amazing lesson we taught her the first commandments and we picked a date for her to be baptized!! June 18th so hopefully president wright will let me come down for that he should though haha, I am super excited for that. I went on exchanges with elder maritenez on Tuesday I love that guy he is so funny we tracked a lot of places and did a lot of contacting some of our lessons canceled which was sad :( he taught Michael and Alice this week on studying the schriptures. It was good we just are struggling on how to bring up the word of wisdom with Michael cause he drinks everyday and loves it a lot.

Oh Elder Warnick is being called to zone leader again. So that's what he is doing. We did a ton of contacting this week and it was really good, we both were praying for the faith to find. Instead of just praying to find people.. Huge difference in the work. I have started throughly studying Jesus the Christ. It is super crazy, we were at terry Paige's house a member that we visit In a resting home. He told us some deep doctrine and it was a lot. I am super interested in that stuff. I just need to be careful with it.

My left nostril I  think needs cauterized, I am having a ton of huge bloody noses and having to clean my white shirts. I will call president, And talk to him about it. I could just wait until I get home. It might be best idk. How is the family? I miss you guys.

Yesterday was crazy haha we were walking and three gang members carrying machetes around there necks walk to us and we said hi haha and one of them said to stay away from one of the. Cause he is super crazy, the guy looked like he wanted to kill us. But it was cool. :) but yeah

On Thursday was probably the best experience we visited Michael and Rose and had a huge bonding moment with them. It was a good experience they shared a personal problem and I was able to help them. Now I know what my patriarchal blessing means. I think that's the reason I got sent here to Ukiah. That's what they said any ways :) that's my week!
