Week 77: June 26

Dear family,

This week was good Monday was pday we had a super good breakfast with my favorite members in the ward and the sisters. We have it every Monday morning and we shared messages after and we listen to the husband tell us funny stories from when he was on his mission and about his life. We had a good pday after that played basketball like usual and made dinner that night. 

Tuesday was good we had district meeting which was really good elder salsbury is a very good district leader. After we had car inspections and we went finding that day and tried to see some investigators. And some recent converts.

Wednesday was good we went finding and contacting, had some pretty awkward contacts but that okay haha. Need the practice we went to see Jon and see how he was doing and he told us he didn't really want to meet with us anymore but said we could come by and say hi. So yeah hopefully he will come around.

Thursday we did some finding in the morning and then we had service in the heat under the tents so at least we had some shade but we were still sweating a lot. The crazy thing is a little dust devil blew everything over and we almost lost our tents but elder Christensen has some fast reflexes. It was a good service though talked to some sweet people. After we had a good dinner with a recent convert. 

Friday was weekly planning we had a good planning session and we planned some neighborhoods that we haven't hit up yet. That night we had a good dinner with sandy she made us this chicken salad it was really good. After we went and saw some less actives. 

Saturday was a really sweet experience we had another big service for the Golden Gate national park we went down to the bridge and to this sweet bay and we cleaned up trails and bridges for the people there and then we cleaned these stairs that lead down to the beach and after we cleaned up the beach. It was super sweet I got to talk to the lady there she is a park ranger so it was sweet to talk about what she does. It was a good experience our whole district went. 

Sunday was good we had church and after we went and saw a super cool inactive family and we committed them to come to church this next Sunday which is super good for them cause they haven't been in years. We went to out ward mission leaders house for dinner and had a sweet dinner there. But that was my week in a nutshell! Sounds like a party back home! Hope everything is going well love you!

Week 76: June 19

Dear family, 

This week was another adventure of sickness so it will be a short one so I apologize for that, Monday we had pday was good my companion and I were getting better from being sick so we played basketball and had a good time with the zone.

Tuesday we had district meeting which we didn't go to cause Elder Christensen woke up with pink eye so that was super fun we called the mission nurse and got advice for that and went to Walmart to pick up some eye drops. So that was exciting then that night I got sick again with what my companion had.

Wednesday we had interviews with presidents wright which we forgot about so we drove up has fast as possible and we had good interviews and sister wright told us we probably shouldn't go out with elder Christensen having pink eye. So... super boring.

So Thursday we stayed inside all day went to the church and did some stuff.

Friday we went to the Instacare and got elder Christensen prescribed eye drops.

Saturday we went down to San Rafael to do some computer stuff. And I was going to switch over my pictures to my thumb drive and it turns out my thumb drove had a virus on it and I lost all my mission pictures about 2000 of them so I am pretty sad about that 😭 the good news is that we had a less active being her boyfriend to church awhile ago and they want to get married and he is willing to get baptized cause she want to have a priesthood holder in her home so that's sweet, we will start meeting other the, this week and see how that goes!

Sunday was good we had church and after we went to a resting home to have lunch with a member their and after we went and visited a less active family it was good to talk with them so yeah that was my week. Sorry still trying to work on getting some pics for you so this week ! Sounds like you guys have had an adventure back home with all the kids! I hope everything goes well. Tell the kids I love them and I say hi!! Happy Father's Day yesterday dad!! I love you!

Week 75: June 12

Dear family,

This week was good, to start off Monday we played basketball and then we had a really good dinner after with the grams family they have two little twin boys that are really funny, and cute but idk how she does it cause they are super crazy haha, but that was good after we went and saw a family which was good.

Tuesday we had district meeting which was awesome, out new district leader is a really good teacher and really relates to all of us, president wright came in right at the end of the meeting with his daughter so it was cool to see them, after he gave elder Christensen a temple recommend interview cause it expired and we are going to the temple on Saturday so that was good, we went finding after tried to see some recent converts and others. 

Wednesday was good went to the southern part of our mission in the morning and then at 2 the Carlsons came and picked us up to go to Sacramento it was a long drive through traffic but it was a good drive, after my appointment there we drove back got back by 9:30 right before the appointment we went to a college and went contacting around so that was cool. They took us to dinner to pita pats it was super good!! 

Thursday was good we went to the medical clinic and did service there is kinda rained!! Which was awesome! Surprised to see the rain ☔️ it was a good service though got to talk to some funny people, and saw some members come though. 

Friday was was weekly that night we had a sweet dinner with out recent convert sandy it was good to see her, I shared the talk Do not despair by elder benson. Super good talk and it really has a lot of meaning for us today. 

Saturday we had basketball at 7 in the morning which was super cool, finally we got to ball with everyone again, after we got ready and we went to the temple with some members up in Petaluma cause elder Christensen served there and the husband is getting his endowments and president let us go so that was super sweet we went to the Oakland temple which is one of my favorites it was super good to see someone go through kinda reminded me of my first time haha. After they took us to this Asian place it was good. 

Sunday was church which was good had a good gospel principles class after church we went finding, the good old Sunday finding where everyone should be home but no one answers the door haha. But that was my week a good one, hope everything is going well back home. Love you!

Week 74: June 5

Hey family,

Sounds like you have had a crazy week haha, I can't imagine taking care of that many kids that's insane! So do you know how long they will stay with you ? It's summer now right ? School ended?  I hope everything is going well. So this week is going to be result short buts it's not my fault Haha, 

Monday was pday we had a really cool pday with the zone we said goodbye to those that are leaving and we signed journals and had a good dinner that night. Went finding after that with some people.

Tuesday was transfers so we didn't go because we are staying together elder Christensen and I, so we went finding most of the day we went and visited our Investigator john and went over the Book of Mormon the super cool thing is when we were there last we gave a Book of Mormon to his friend and he said his friend read the whole thing! That's crazy so we gave him our number so he could give it to the guy, so hopefully that goes somewhere.

Wednesday we went finding and contacting downtown that was good we had a really good dinner that night, until I started to get sick 😷

Thursday I was super sick I couldn't breath and I was coughing like a dog trying to attacked someone nonstop felt like my lung were closing up. 

So Friday and Saturday were like that I called the the mission nurse and got some advice.

Sunday was good we had the stake meet and greet that night with the president it was really good, he gave advice for missionary's going home and ones that come home soon, a lot of the zone is getting sick so that's sad 😭 but yeah that was my week. Love you guys!

Week 73: May 29

Dear family,

This week was good, I got the package 📦!! Thank you so much for everything the pants fit perfect and the other clothes 👍😊 lots of KitKats you must know me 👍 to start of with my week 

Monday was pday had a regular good day played basketball and chair soccer with the zone so that was good, then we went and had a good dinner with a sweet family after that.

Tuesday was good we had district meeting and we went finding after got some good contacts and had s good lesson with john our investigator, he is coming along slowly but that's good. That night we had a good dinner with a sweet family, the dad doesn't really like us but that's kinda normal out here haha. But that night we went and tried to visit some less active members after.

Wednesday was super cool and had a service project for the Golden Gate National park, the same one we did at the very beginning of the transfer. This time we went down to the Golden Gate Bridge to fort baker, and we did some cleaning up there and picked up trash a long the ocean 🌊 and went to the views the national park ranger took us to the abandoned base, it was super sweet to be able to do the service for it, we got some really cool pics of the bridge and the area. After we had the Book of Mormon class that night that was good. 

Thursday was my birthday was a good day, I had an appointment with charity right after lunch and had a really good meeting with her, after we went and tried to visit some other people and we went and tracked with one apartment complex and had some angry people but that is normal for he most part. But it was good. We had a sweet dinner with a family that night and they made me a cake 🎂 so that's was super nice of them. 

Friday was Friday weekly planning day usually we had a good morning usually since the day is usually taken up by planning we do our work in the morning went a little finding and tried contacting some people. 

Saturday was good transfer day!! That we did some service for the food bank and that was good that night we found out transfers ! I am staying with elder Christensen here in Novato so that is sweet I am glad I am, it will be a good transfer. 

Sunday was sweet had church there was a farewell talk for a guy named Devin he gave a really good talk in sacrament and elder Christensen talked as well and gave a really sweet talk, after we had a good dinner with the Rich family it was super cool, he does the special effects on movies, right now he is working on transformers. So that was sweet. That was my week! Love you!
