Week 72: May 22

Hey family,

This week was good sorry it might be kinda shorter today: 

Monday was pday played some awesome ball and it was fire 🔥. After that we went and visited a couple families. And some other people as well.

Tuesday was good we didn't have district meeting cause we had zone conference on Friday. But we went finding and went out for ice cream. Cause it's getting hotter every week. It's good cause it comes in waves cold and hot like Utah. 

Wednesday was good the highlights of the day was that we had the Book of Mormon class that we taught we are going over Isaiah in 2 nephi which is is insane cause we don't know what it even is haha, but it's good we went and saw our investigator john as well and that was awesome. He is doing well. 

Thursday was good we had service that day we helped move a refrigerator into a house and some other things and we had a good dinner with a interesting family. After we went and visited brother Bentley our favorite member, he is super funny and he has a really strong spirit and testimony so it was good to see him and he gives us cookies 🍪 so I can get fatter 👍 

Friday was zone conference it was a Long good day it started at 9 am and went until 4 so it was a long tiring day for the brain but it was good, we went over a lot of what type of missionary that we went to be and what we need to be. We did a lot of practices and went over planning sessions and obedience and a talk that we read over previously. So it was good. I got to see a lot of other missionaries that I have missed. 

Saturday was the huge service day it was super cool, all based on the movie American graffiti, where the movie was filmed there. Hundreds of hot rods we helped with traffic control and setting up everything it was a super cool thing to be there for. I got tons of pics so I will send those out as well. So it was a tiring day, but worth it. Talked to some people as well. 

Sunday was Sunday, church we taught in gospel essentials and we had a member being her boyfriend and he isn't a member so we were able to talk to him so that was good and we gave a blessing as well. And after church we went finding for a little bit and then we went and said goodbye to an elder he is going home cause he got really sick and has an immune deficiency. So that's sad. But that was my week. 3 foster kids? Holy cow haha. That's sweet! Sounds like an adventure!

Week 71: May 15

Hey family, 

I know I talked to you yesterday but I will do a little summary of this week. 

Monday was good we had pday in San Rafael and we played basketball and soccer and talked after so it was good, I got sick that night from subway so that wasn't good haha. 

Tuesday I was sick 😷 death to my body.

Wednesday was good we had a really good lesson with john our investigator that we met and his friends were there and they asked us questions for a long time haha, about our church and what we did so that was really cool. That night we gave a blessing to a members daughter who is paralyzed and has brain damage cause when she was 15 years old she overdosed on cocaine. So it was a good experience to do that. 

Thursday was good, we went and tried to see mason our recent convert and his mom cause they have been missing church and we are trying to get him out to Young Men’s. he is just as shy as I was when I was younger so that's funny. He is a good kid though. We had a good dinner that night. 

Friday was good we had weekly planning all day and that night we went and had dinner with our recent convert sandy she made us a whole chicken which was awesome haha. It was really good we taught her after and visited with her. 

Saturday we drove up to Rohnert park for interviews had a good interview with president wright it was good to talk to him and get good advice from him to do better. After that we went and visited a recent convert he is super cool guy. My favorite here. He is working on getting to the temple which is amazing. After we went and visited a member brother Cain. He basically just vented to us and said his life is horrible and he should be getting blessings and he is sick of waiting for them, and we told him that's not exactly how it works and shared some scriptures to help him haha. 

Sunday was Mother's Day!! Went to church and it was a good program and then we went to the rest of church and then called you guys! And then we had a good dinner with the Nielsen family, their daughter reminds me of Avery she is crazy haha. But it was good 😊 that was my week kinda short. Love you!

Week 70: May 8

Dear family,

This week was good was good, Monday we had pday that was super fun we went to Limantour beach. It was super beautiful we had a good time there we played sports and hung out it was super pretty especially the drive there and back. That night we went and tried to find a couple of people as well. 

Tuesday we had district meeting that was good. We had to do car inspections and then after we we and visited our investigator PD to see how he was doing and if we could meet with him. But yeah we went finding after that. 

Wednesday we went down to our southern part of our area and we visited some people around there. We went and saw our investigator john and visited with him. The Jehovah’s Witness came in and started talking to us, I guess he has been meeting with john and wasn't very happy to see us talking to him. We were friendly with him and talked with him for a while. After, john told us that he wanted to stop meeting with him and that he felt comfortable with us. So that's cool 😎 

Thursday we had our cool all afternoon service with the medical clinic food bank, some interesting people there, but after we had dinner with sandy and Yvonne. There is so much drama in this ward and area it is insane. So this week we had to deal with a lot of it. Between members, which sucks, cause of course we are stuck in right in the middle but oh well. 

Friday was weekly planning we decided to go up to a cool hill and do weekly planning we had a good dinner that night we had lamb, I don't like lamb haha. It was okay though. We went finding after that cause we are out of golden peeeps. 😭 

Saturday was good we had basketball in the morning and went out that afternoon And went under full less active finding which was good. We need to do more of that. There are so so much of them out here it's amazing to see (not really), but if they were all active there would be like 5 wards here Haha. But I feel one day something will help them come back. Even if it's the second coming haha 😜 

Sunday was the most stressful dramatic church I have ever been to in my life. We basically babysat all of sacrament meeting because the kids mom didn't show up. It was our recent convert and little sister and holy cow 🐮. It was insane and of course it happens to the missionaries 😃 all the crazy stuff happens to us. But then the class after that was crazy. 2 members blew up to each other and we had to resolve that, therapist brown and Christensen haha.. No. our ward mission leader helped a lot to. Then we went and taught the young woman's the restoration, and of course that was nerve wracking 😂 but it was all good we survived and lost nothing only gained. And that's what I want to share this week, there is always a road bump that comes it is 100% gonna happen and there is no way of going around it sometimes when we try to, it comes like a brick to our faces. Just to remember all these road bumps and all the things we go through is for our gain and not for our loss, it wouldn't make sense if it was for our loss, but I know what ever it is if we stick to it and get through if we look back and then and only then we see we are better off before. But yeah my week 👍❤️❤️ I am almost not a teenager anymore !!!

Week 69: May 1

Dear family,

It's been 2 weeks so I will summarize what has happened: the first week of the transfer was good Tuesday was transfers and I got elder Christensen, he is awesome. He is from lehi and he is going home is August. We played on the same soccer team so that is sweet. 

Wednesday was okay president wright took us out to eat for lunch at the Habit really good burger place. That was funny, he tried contacting the lady their ordering our food so that was interesting. But we went and saw PD our investigator he is doing well had a good lesson with him. We also had the Book of Mormon class that night that went well people brought a lot of food which isn't good cause we get fatter everyday.

Thursday was good we went finding and we had masons baptism interview, it was a super long interview but is was good he passed cause he is a stud muffin. 

Friday was weekly planning so that is the same every week, we went to the card shop in town and we got a new Investigator the card shop owner haha, he is a really cool guy he is actually seeing the Jehovah's Witnesses and studying with them we gave him a Book of Mormon and a restoration so that was cool. 

Saturday was district meeting with basketball and that afternoon we had masons baptism !! The bishop baptized him and it was super cool sadly we didn't get any pics because mason didn't want any, so that's okay. 

Sunday he was confirmed by the ward mission leader and we went finding the rest of the day. 

Monday we had a good pday we have pdays with the whole zone now we all meet in Novato which is awesome. 

This week was a blur, Tuesday we had district meeting it was good after we went and visited some people, lots of finding since most of our investigators got baptized haha, guess that's a good thing. 

Wednesday was really awesome we had a service project with the golden gate national state park we drove to Stiston beach and the drive was amazing feels like your driving through like Scotland. We picked up trash on the beach and cut back bushes and picked up wood and dumped it was super sweet. We had the Book of Mormon class that night to that went well someone brought pizza. We also visited the card shop owner and went over the restoration even more with him so that was sweet. 

Thursday was good we went finding all day and a less active found is and said she wants her kids to be baptized she hasn't been to church is years so that is super cool. 

Friday was weekly planning. 

Saturday was basketball in the morning and we went to Petaluma for a service project preparedness that is going to be on May 20th it's a huge hot rod show for the movie American graffiti back In the day. The movie was filmed in Petaluma and the actors are going to come and tons of hot rods and we are going to set up and run a lot of the stuff for it, it will be sick, we will be able to meet some of the movie stars as well. 

Sunday was good we had church we taught gospel principles and after we had a good dinner with a sweet family. Today we went to the beach which was fun played football and frisbee. That was my week.
