Week 25: June 27

Hey!

I am doing okay, I miss you guys a lot!! Sounds like your having a lot of fun. Your going to a lot of awesome places.

1. How are you? So my depression is okay, I tried to ask it but it didn't say anything back to me ;) but the mission nurse didn't get back to me, but on Saturday my comp and his departing interview with president so I met with president wright and talked to him on how I was feeling and the feeling of wanting to go home. We talked and I said I don't like this area I feel lonely up here, but he said I will love my next companion. And to keep in touch with him. A lot of people are going home so just trying to stay positive, My next companion his name is elder southwick he is from Springville Utah, of course haha, but yeah I told president that I would stay another transfer here in Lakeport. I also told him that the nurse didn't get back to me, so she is supposed to call me today and set up an appointment for me to visit with someone. So that's where I am at right now.

2. How was your week? Anything new? My week was okay nothin much new, but we moved this 5,000 dollar bed it was so heavy! But yeah it was my comps last week so he was getting everything ready, but we went and visited some people elder sutterfield went and visited the people he wanted to, yesterday we got some photos with a lot of families, we helped these members family move into there house and then we helped this older woman with this hose haha, I felt super bad for her house it was such a mess idk how people live like that but they do, and all you can do is help them. But yeah this week was pretty plain, just you know getting ready for my comp to go home home. I am kinda used to it now haha.

3. Does your companion go home this week? Do you know who your new companion will be?
Yes like I said my comp is leaving today and elder southwick is coming tomorrow.

4. Are you staying in Lakeport? Yes I am staying in Lakeport

1.      5. How are your investigators? Any baptisms on the horizon? Our investigators won't meet with us, they keep canceling. The closet one to baptism is murice and he has to get married and stop smoking and drinking, but he wants to be baptized.

But I am trying my best to stay positive out here and to give Lakeport another try, and to work he best that I can to help other people and to help the feel loved. I will do my best to be in s positive mood I am excited to have another companion. So hopefully this week is better. This last week was idk a blur did a lot of service so that's fun. I love service and helping people. There's always that light somewhere in the darkness. You guys should send me a couple pics of you guys from your trip. ! I love you guys. Have a good fun week!

Week 24: June 20

Hey!

I am good, sounds like you guys are having lots of fun, your going everywhere haha. When will you guys return then? My companion is fine.

This week was okay. On Tuesday we had district meeting and it was really good I am teaching in district meeting tomorrow and it will be awesome ;) yay,.. But yeah after that we the. Went and drove back and then went finding and visited some people and didn't see any success so that's normal but it was good.

Wednesday we went to nice and Lucerne and saw a ton of people, some of them were super rude haha, but most of the people we went to see actually weren't there so there's that and then back to Lakeport, and talked to some homeless people there not very nice here, in Ukiah they actually liked us but these guys are very vulgar, but oh well. It's kinda funny. But we had dinner delivered to us and we then after dinner went to see Ryan and less active and he wasn't home like he said he was going to be so that was really sad. But he is super cool.

On Thursday we went on exchanges with the zone leaders so I was with my last companion which was super cool. It felt like we were just companions again, and we were just on long exchanges with someone else it was upper good we went back to nice and saw dean he believes in science and doesn't believe in religion but we got him to except to read and pray for himself which is pretty rare but it was pretty cool. He is a very very smart guy, I will send pictures of what he built with a car, he came up with his own creation it's a car that has to wheels in the front that are lined up, it's insane. But that was good we then went to rainbow trailer park and found some cool people and Mexican families for the Spanish elders, it was raining all day and it was amazing with the lake. But all the rest of the families we tried seeing they didn't answer the door so that's sad. But we taught this recent convert his name is brother lininger he is going to get married In the temple with his wife so that's super cool  so that was Thursday

Friday morning we went and tracked for a little bit and then we went to Ukiah and exchanged back I miss Ukiah it's my home haha. But we drove back home and then we went and saw more amazing souls of God and visited them, but on Friday the rest of the day we tried visiting Morgan an investigator but he never answers the door which is sad. But yeah we played basketball that night with the elders quorum it was fun.

So Saturday we went on a blitz with the Middletown sisters it was good but no body was very welcoming. People don't like us up there. But then we went and had dinner with the ridegous family they are pretty cool. There after we went to the Scott's and taught them there less active and then we went home! And planned.

Sunday was good we went to church and then of course tried seeing people all day. Now I am making waffles!! I will send pics of this week ! I love you guys be safe.

Week 23: June 13

Hey guys

We are good, I just have some cuts on my legs but everything else is healing fine. We didn't see a doctor cause I didn't want to pay anything. How is the trip going? How was DC? This was okay, on Monday after the wreck we just went back to the apartment and chilled and then we went to the church and just sat there cause we were dead haha.

But that night we went to our ward mission leaders house and ate pizza with them and shared a message, his name is brother scaroni. He is super cool.

Tuesday we had district meeting everyone was a little down, but it was good. we went on exchanges I went with Elder Brown and it was fun we talked a lot, he is going home in 2 weeks so that's sad. But we found 3 new investigators, Courtney and Jessica, a mother and daughter living alone, they are super cool. We found a 16 year old kid names Blair he is awesome. We went to dinner with a super weird family, well everyone is weird here but they are number one so far, that's cool the sister Oslon called you, she is super cool.

On Wednesday we exchanged back and went tracking no luck but worth I try I guess. We then set dinner with Denis and vessa and taught them some of the commandments and talked with them, and we had to walk to everything and it was so hot! But it was good walking is good for us.

On Thursday the APs called and said they had a car for us! So we drove to rosa with the Spanish elders and then we got our new car! It's a Chevy Cruz, it's pretty nice. We drove from rose back up to Ukiah and to Lakeport and we visited some people out there.

On Friday we went and visited with people and tried to see some less actives but no luck. Friday night we had our ward potluck and some people showed up not a lot though sadly but it was still good we talked and visited with people it was really fun.

Saturday we tried tracking and visiting less actives nobody was home so that sucked. We then had dinner with the Rodriguez family and I gave sister Rodriquez a blessing after, she is disabled and wanted one so that was good the spirit was strong.

Sunday we went to church we then went into the young men's and talked about our missions and told them to come on one haha. After that we took a little nap and then went and saw Julie and investigator that is in a bad relationship right now so we are trying to help with that, but after that we went on the larsons and there house is so huge! They are awesome. We went and tried to visit with another investigator but it didn't work of course :) but that was my week not exciting.

I was really depressed at the beginning, having a hard time, but that's obvious. I love you guys hope your having a lot of fun !

Week 22: June 6

Dear family,

It sounds like that you are having a wonderful time !! This trip is huge haha. You Guys are going everywhere, sounds like your having a lot of fun. How do the kids like the trip? Tell them I say hello!! And I love them. What is your favorite part of the trip so far?

1.  Is the Zyrtec and nasal spray helping? The Zyrtec and nasal spray is helping a lot, but  I have had Asthma attacks things haha but I know what is causing it. We were weed whacking and then the tall looking weeds with the stupid thorn things that fly off and stick to your shoes and clothes  it destroys my face and lungs, I can barely breath all day, and I couldn't breath out of my nose so it was exciting !! But I am recovered now. It sucks up here in Lakeport allergies  are the death.

2.  How are things going with your companion? Are you adjusting to his constant talk? When does he head home? Things with companion are good, I am almost used to his talking he has really really bad ADHD and he is supposed to be on medication but he hasn't taken it in a year. So that's why he talks so much haha. But we are good we have fun, he heads home the 27th of June so pretty soon then I get a new companion !

3. Who are your current investigators? Our current investigators are murice he works so much so it's hard to meet with him but he is cool guy wants to learn  more just has some concerns with the word of wisdom, we work with a ton of less actives but another investigator is Morgan he is 15 he seems pretty interested but he doesn't like keeping commitments that much haha. But those as the main ones so far we are trying to meet with s couple others but they don't like answering the door.

4. How are things going with less actives? Things are going really well with less actives I love all the less actives here, they just need to come to church hey are solid people, one of them is running for district 4 supervisor for Lakeport so that's pretty cool her signs are all over Lakeport haha. She has 10 kids most adopted which is amazing she has a really big house of course she is on the schooL Board. We are working with the la brushes they are super cool there daughter is so cute we play tag with her a lot. We met this new active member Ryan he is super cool he served in the air-force for 2 years and is awesome. The nicest guy ever. We also have a ton more less actives too.

5. What did you learn in your interview with President Wright? I learned about the resurrection and about when we will be resurrected and when the sons of perdition will be resurrected also, so like the first and second resurrection. But I am still researching it cause president just gave me information to find out on my own which is best. But I am still finding out haha. He just said to pray and keep my head up, working out helps a lot with depression. So I have been working out like crazy.

6. I’d love to hear more about your family history stand—how did that work? Sounds like a cool idea! It kind of worked haha we set it up in the Lakeport park and set up tons of books and pamphlets on it and when people came by we explain it to them and Invited them to come check our church put it was pretty cool.

7. Best thing this week? Umm probably doing service for a less Active with weed whacking cause while we were doing it elder sutterfield disturbed a huge nest of ground wasps and they were attacking him and was screaming and running and I was laughing pretty hard until he ran toward me them I started running cause they were everywhere and he got stung a ton and I didn't like that but I tripped over a huge log and face planted it and a couple bees attacked me but I luckily didn't get stung that was an adventure after that we ate cow tongue!! It is really good  surprisingly. It looks weird but it tastes like cow haha kinda like a powerful steak taste to it.

Yah it's weird to think about haha I have already been gone six months it doesn't feel like it though feels like I left yesterday, it does feel like I am different though which is good I hope, but yeah this week was good our ward is super weird I like it though the lake is super beautiful it's the biggest fresh water lake in Cali. Hey you guys should just come and swing over here too while your going everywhere ! ;) this week was good we go to this frozen yogurt place and we get it free which is awesome!! Member that own ice cream places are the best. Yeah we just visited tons of less actives and we hand zone meeting that was really good, learned to keep our heads up and keep doing our best and to give up that one thing that is holding us back from doing our best and becoming what we really want and need to become. I made some bomb meals though!! Tell dad I love him and he is awesome and I miss him!
