Week 67: April 17

Dear family,

Happy Easter sounds like you guys had a good week, I am jealous you went and saw the lion king that is sweet. I want to see it again.

Monday was good we had pday and just played ball at the church and visited with the other missionaries, after we went and had a lesson with a investigator which was good. We had a good dinner with a family that makes the best cookies.

Tuesday was district meeting we had president and sister wright shown up so that was cool. We went on exchanges with our district leaders I went to San Raffael with elder Harris we had a good time there, we went to a small town called fairfax it reminded me of eureka which was sweet. It was a good exchange.

Wednesday we exchanged back and had a lesson with PD our investigator it went well, after we went a costed another investigator too. We also went and had a good lesson with sandy and shared the restoration with her. We had a service project after moving a member out of there apartment 3 stories up, so big workout it was crazy.

Thursday was a lot of finding and trying to contact members so that was cool. We had a good lesson and dinner with mason and his mom.

After we went to a less active and it was super funny cause the guy tells the craziest stories ever. But yeah.

Friday was planning, Last planning of the transfer so that's crazy.

After we went to sandys and watched the Jospeh smith movie and she invited some friends so that was super cool to see. The movie was perfect for them to watch, that night we went finding right after.

Saturday we went and handed flyers out to the neighborhood about a service project we are doing for the city that took a very long time, and after we went and tried to visit some families and others as well.

We waited that night for transfers, so that was fun they came at 10 so that was super late.

Sunday was good Easter Sunday we went finding after and then we went to dinner with the smiths and had a huge dinner and they gave us huge Easter baskets with 25$ dollar gift cards to Panera a bomb place to eat. So that was super nice of them, but that was my week.

Week 66: April 10

Dear family,

Monday was pday it was fun we went to the beach, it was called rodeo beach super beautiful we were able to drive to the Golden Gate Bridge and drove past it. It was super beautiful. Sadly I wasn't able to get pictures cause we couldn't pull off to the side of the road but hopefully next week we will go again and I can get some pics of it.

But after pday we went and visited with sandy out investigator and we talked about being confirmed and how being baptized actually works. We were able to swing over to another investigator and explain then Book of Mormon to her and the restoration, she is open so that's a plus. We are seriously teaching the whole apartment complex, it's crazy.

Tuesday we had district meeting and I taught in understanding then promptings of the Holy Spirit and relying more on the spirit as we teach and get personal revelation from it. We then went to go see out investigator mason he was planned to be baptized this next week but he wasn't able to make it out to church so we will push it back just a little, after we went to go see nahvay, but there was a fight that happened while we were there with some adults so we dipped out of there and went and saw sandy again to just keep seeing her until the baptism on Saturday. After dinner we went finding and contacting.

Wednesday we had a lesson with out investigator PD went over some of the commandments with him, he is making good progress and has a baptism date for the 22nd of April. We went tracking for a while after that and ran into a really open cool guy that wants us to come by and teach him. He lived in costs rica for a long time so that's cool. But we had is one guy after curse us so that was interesting! First time I had someone try to curse us and the whole apartment complex, seems like he has only read very Anti stuff. We run into a ton of people that dont know how to speak English so that can be awkward sometimes.

Thursday we saw a couple of Investigators and we went finding that day, we had an amazing dinner that night with mason his mom made some dang good chicken pacata. We then after went and looked for and tried to contact all the investigators that we were about to drop and see if they were interested one more time. We had our DLs come and interview sandy for her baptism she passed!

Friday was weekly planning day planned for this next week the last week of the transfer, after all of our lessons canceled which was really sad cause we ended up walking pretty much everywhere.

Saturday was basketball in the morning that was fun, we had investigators show up and then after we went and got the baptism font filled up and at 2 we had sandys baptism! I was able to baptize her it was a good baptism. Sadly I wasn't able to get a lot of pictures cause her ride was super late and we had to rush, but I got some after with everyone.

Sunday was fast Sunday, church was good after we went and helped a member go home teaching, and our dinner canceled so he hooked us up with dinner so bless his soul. Cause it ain't good not having dinner on fast Sunday 👎🏿 we were able to see sandy last night and her friend was there and we were able to show him the Book of Mormon.

But yeah that was the week. I love you guys. Look up the new Easter video! #prince of peace. It's a good one.

Week 65: April 3

Hello peeps, 

This week was busy like usual, pday was on Monday was boring like usual cause no body likes to do anything. That night was good though we saw a couple people.

Tuesday we had district meeting it was pretty good, after we went on exchanges with the zoneleaders which was really fun I went with elder Angulo. I loved with him a year ago so it was really good to see him we had a lot of fun. We went to the beach and had a good lesson with one of his investigators, really fun.

We exchanged back on Wednesday, had a good day we met with our investigator sandy had a good lesson with her so that was good, she is getting baptized this Saturday at 2 pm.

Thursday was good we met with a very funny investigator that keeps dropping us and then calling is back saying she wants to meet still so that's good I guess. We had a good meeting with a less active member, and we did a lot of finding this week and contacting trying to talk to a lot of people, I would invite you to go and look at the new Easter video the church came out with! It's super good!

Friday was weekly planning had a good planning session and we stopped in by some recent converts and had good lessons with them.

Saturday we went to the burquests family to watch conference at it was hard for me to remember what they talked about cause I was trying to stay awake really badly. But a lot of the plan of salvation so that's cool. We went to the priesthood session and our investigator PD came which was awesome and a member took out to A&W, so that was good.

Sunday’s sessions were really good we had a couple investigators show up for that and the talk by elder costa was perfect for them!! But yeah that was my week, love ya!

Week 64: March 27

Family,

This week was pretty busy, Monday was pday we didn't do anything which sucked we literally just sat in the church and did nothing so that blew a bunch of muffin tops.

Tuesday we had zone meeting it was good it went super long, but man elder Joyners singing is at the top of the line, he  could like sing for Hollywood or somthin. Tuesday was busy we had a lesson with 2 of our main investigators, both were good lessons, they both have baptisms dates, one on may 27th and April 8th for sandy our main investigator. She came to church yesterday and she liked it so that's cool. But we went to another investigator that night he is like 12 and he wants to get baptized but his mom really needs to get more involved, gotta have that parent support. He is scheduled for baptism for April 15 th his name is mason.

Wednesday we went finding had some lessons with some potential investigators and we had the Book of Mormon class and a bunch of people came so it's

getting bigger which is the point.

Thursday we had a bunch of finding we had a good lesson with a recent convert on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Friday was weekly planning we had another lesson with sandy, she is moving a long really quickly towards baptism and we went and did service up in the hills and that was sweet the member and a huge house and his backyard was like in the forest so we saw a lot of newts, and scorpions and lizards.

Saturday was good we met with sandy again, and we had a recent convert lesson with nahvay that night.

Sunday was church we taught on fasting and most of our investigators came to church. Today we are probably going on a hike so that should be cool. Love ya!

Week 63: March 20

Nahvay was baptized on Saturday we started 40 minutes late cause someone forgot his uncle. It was a good baptism though Sunday went well I confirmed him a member in sacrament meeting and I gave a talk after.

Week 62: March 13

Dear family,

This week has been a crazy week!! Pday in Vacaville we met at the church and played pingpong and just talked and said goodbye it was really good, we said goodbye to elder pike and sister mamlfelt cause they are going home which is super sad!! But yeah that night we had family home evening we had a little devotional thing that we watched and we ate popcorn and after I said goodbye to some ward members I will definitely miss them a lot.

Tuesday was transfers we drove to Santa Rosa and met with our comps and I am the designated driver and we have a brand new Malibu cruise! It's so boss. Nice car haha. But we drove to our areas and we threw my stuff in the apartment and we went shopping, we are only a 2 man apartment which is okay haha, it's a nice apartment our apartment is full of Indian people like so many so everynight we smell curry which is awesome cause curry is the bomb.com.

My new comp elder sorenson is a stud he is tall and jacked, most fit missionary our there. I call him Tarzan cause he is that boss, and he is a ladies man... cause if I was a girl he would be that guy😜😜 if you know what I am saying 😜😂 and he has 3 older brothers and a younger sister he has 2 months left in the mission. He is from mesa Arizona, but we went directly to finding after that and met with a former investigator and her dog is the weirdest thing I have ever seen but we taught her a little bit about the restoration it was good. We went finding after that Novato reminds me a lot of ukiah it's very similar in some parts and others it's super super nice houses and it's super pretty here. People here are a lot more receptive than any other place I have served. But yeah we found this family from Haiti they let us in and it was cool we asked if we could come back another time. We did a ton of street contacting as well until dinner we had with a part member family. There is a lot of part members here, but we contacting downtown which was good.

Wednesday we went a an old people's home and we met with our investigator there she is a really cool old woman, she invited her friend and we taught them the restoration and her friend said that he believes that Jospeh smith saw Christ and god in his vision so that was really shocking cause he is the first person that has believed it on the first lesson haha. But after that we went finding lots of finding. We are trying to get a new investigator a day and 20 contacts, but we went to a family that we are teaching their are to kids who live with there aunt and the boy we are teaching is nahvay he is 10 And we taught him then commandments. We have a baptism for him next week on Saturday the 18th at 1 so that will be awesome, his little sister jordyn is the cutest girl ever I will send picks of them. But after that we went finding and had a really good dinner at this place called Toast. 20 dollars a plate so that's insane haha but it was really good. Oh yeah I forgot we go to crossfit every morning, the manager there lets us come for free and we do service there, so that's a blessing cause its $200 a month so that's very generous of him to let us come for free! Gonna get ripped!!😂😜

Thursday we went finding all day and we taught a lesson with our investigator he is a boxer and really awesome. We taught him the restoration and that was good he seemed really interesting. The ward here is really good very missionary supportive and very welcoming there about 150 members at come I guess but we weekly planning so that was good. That night we had a crazy experience, we were contacting downtown and we met this guy who was super drunk and he looked like he just got into a fight and we asked him if we needed anything and he told us to come and release him of his sins and he was very persistent that we come right next to him and we stepped a little back cause he was definitely not in reality, and we jumped up and said for us to save him and we asked how? And he said to pray and release him of his sins and he grabbed our arms and told us to pray and at this point we were ready to run cause this guy was insane, didn't have a really nice grip, and he was acting violent kinda. We said he was from the ogalala Lakota  tribe and when he said that I got the weirdest feeling cause that is my tribe so that's insane!! So we prayed with him and got out of there, and when we were walking we looked back and he was gone so that was crazy!

Saturday we  went finding and had district meeting so that was really good.

Sunday we had stake conference and a area of the seventy came elder swchitzer come and speak to us a really awesome guy. We met with nahvay after and met with them so that was awesome. Crazy week super busy the area is good, I hope everything is good back in Utah love you guys.

Week 61: March 6

Dear family,

So to start off we got transfer information Saturday night!! And I am getting transferred to Novato! This Tuesday, so I will send my address as soon as possible when I get here, my new companion is elder Sorensen. And it's in the most expensive part of the mission so food is going to be super expensive to buy stuff. I don't know how I feel about it right now but we will see.

This week was good we had pday on Monday and and went to the card shop and after that we had a good dinner that night.

Tuesday we didn't have district meeting cause it got moved to Wednesday, cause there was a huge service project at was going on for the whole zone, and we didn't go cause they had enough people so yeah. We had a good lesson with a less active and that was good, I will miss that guy. We went finding after that. That pretty much sums up Tuesday.

Wednesday we had district meeting that was good a lot of people taught. Elder pike gave is testimony cause he goes home on Tuesday will miss that guy. But after we went finding. That night we went to a YSAs member house and played card games with his friends which were a ton of non members so that was awesome, we gave a member that lives there a blessing after which was really good.

Thursday was awesome we went to the Sacramento temple we woke up at 5 and we got a ride from a member. It was a really good session. That temple is super super pretty inside. It's small but it's super pretty we took some awesome pics after, some are already on Facebook. But after we went to the kings buffet and got super super full. Da best cause it was Asian ! Asian buffets are the best. But yeah after we went finding a little bit we went to boudins with the bishop for dinner. Was good weather so we ate outside. We had Institute after dinner sister Lewis taught on eternal families, it was a good lesson.

Friday was weekly planning we had a service project for a member in second ward. Did yard work and bush trimming, I am a pro at hedging now! 😜

Saturday we had some really good basketball with a ton of people and non members. After we did a service project with the sisters at a ranch that was fun, we picked up a tree that they had cut down and we made piles and dumped it. It was good, we had a good time, they were less active so it was good to reach out to them. We got transfers that night like I said above, so a lot of packing yay! But yeah that was my week summed up and yeah I hope you are all doing good, I love you.
